Facebook is a very good social network that almost everybody uses. However, for some reasons, one may decide not to use Facebook again or if you have many accounts like me, you may decide to permanently delete one of them.
To permanently delete your Facebook account, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your Facebook account with your username and password.
2. It is not unlikely that you will still need your data in future. So, it is possible for you to download a copy of your Facebook data. To do this, Click on the drop down at the top right hand side of your Facebook account page and then click on "Settings".
Then, from the general settings, click on download a copy of your Facebook data. This will enable you to download and keep your Facebook data.
In case you do not need to keep any data, skip step 2 and go straight to step 3.
3.Click on the key lock icon at the top right hand corner and then the magnifying glass icon. The search box
will open. Type "delete my account" in the search box and wait for the results.
4. From the search results, click on how do I permanently delete my account?
5. After clicking that, you will asked if you want to permanently delete your account. The statement written
there is, "if you want to permanently delete your account without an option for recovery, log in
to your account and let us know. The let us know is a link so click on it.
6. Next you will see the page below for you to delete your account. just click on "delete my account".
7. After this, you will be given an instruction that your account will be permanently deleted after 14 days. Just click okay and that's all. After 14 days, your account will be off Facebook. Per adventure you change your mind before the expiry of the 14 days, you can still log in to re-activate your account.
