How to Check Your GTB Account Balance on Your Phone

      Have you ever thought about the fact that you could easily check your account balance on your phone? I never thought of it until I saw it on the internet and tried it. Surprisingly, it worked! This is the reason I deemed it necessary to post the information on my blog so that  people who are not aware of this development will know.

I am not sure whether there are other banks that operate the system but for now, I am sure of Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) because I tested it. The GTBank SMS account balance works on any phone even without internet access. As far as your phone can receive and send SMS, you are good to go. Though it only works only with NUBAN (10 digits) account number and you must use the phone number you wrote when filling your account information.

How then will you go about it? Very simple!

The Steps

• Text Bal (space) NUBAN Number to 08100550000

e.g if your NUBAN account Number is 0011223344,

Text: Bal 0011223344 in a text message and send to 08100550000

After sending the text message, you will receive a reply displaying your account balance.
