How to add e mail subscription box to your blogger/blogspot blog

Subscription box is a very good tool for communicating with site or blog visitors. When a visitor subscribes to your posts using the subscription box, he receives all your future posts without having to visit your blog.

Now, I am going to show you the steps involved in adding an email subscription box to your blogspot/blogger blog.

Steps 

• Go to www.feedburner.com and sign in with your google account. In case you do not have, I will advise you to quickly open one at www.gmail.com.

• After signing in, the next page that opens will show you that you are logged in to feed burner. On that page you will find a box asking you to type your blog address. Type your blog address and click next.

•  The next page that comes up should have fetched your blog title and your feed address. Click next.

•  The next page that opens will show you that your feed is now alive. Click skip directly to feed management.

You should arrive at your newly created feed dashboard. At the top of the dashboard page, you will find various links there.

• Click the publicize link. After clicking the “publicize” link, you will be presented with various options at the left sidebar of the page, but the one we need here  is the “Email subscription” option. Click on this link and you will be taken to a page where you will be requested to activate this service. Click the “Activate” button on that page. 

• After clicking the “Activate” link, you will be taken to the subscription management page. This is the place where you get your subscription code. On that page, right under the language selection option, you will see a box with the code you are to copy and paste on your blog.

• Copy this code and log in to your blogger dashboard. Click on the layout link and then click on add a gadget.

•  Locate the HTML gadget and click it. When  the window opens, paste the email subscription code that    you copied there. That's all!
